Every once in awhile I get in the mood to be healthy and exercise. And I am sure if I didn’t have portable music, I wouldn’t bother to leave the comfort of my computer. I hate running with a passion, however, I have found joy in running at night with nothing but relaxing music to keep me going. There is something magical about putting on the head phones and heading out into the darkness, you feel like you’re the only one in the world and for moments at a time, you feel completely free from everything in the world that bothers you and stresses you.

There is a good chunk of songs that I enjoy to run to, songs that always seem to give me that extra boost to keep going and not think about fatigue, and today, I would like to share them with you.

This is my starting tune of choice. It has an amazing slow build up that sets a wonderful pace and really is quite the relaxing song.
Delphic – Acolyte

Next up…I don’t know, you just can’t go wrong with a little disco house, especially if it’s Treasure Fingers.
Empire Of The Sun – Walking On A Dream (Treasure Fingers Remix)

Designer Drugs (amazing.) I featured this song in the Valentine’s post, but it is by far my favorite song to run to. It is insanely upbeat and always gives me that “get up and go” feeling. The drop that comes at 2:30 in always seems to come at the best time.
Mariah Carey – I’ll Be Lovin’ U Long Time (Designer Drugs EXTENDED Remix)

If you’ve been following, you’ll have figured out by now that I am a Kanye fan boy and I am a sucker for remixes. So you shouldn’t be surprised to see this at all, it is quite possibly the best/most enjoyable 6 minutes of running.
Kanye West – All Of The Lights (Pretty Lights Remix)

Now, If I am looking for an intense close out, I go to the always classic, Daft Punk, remixed of course. Drum and Bass is just an amazing thing to keep you going and pumped up!
Daft Punk – One More Time (Cyantific Bootleg)

And finally a little something to bring it down and wrap it up with. Slows you down, keeps you relaxed and feeling good about things.
Deadmau5 – Strobe

I hope you’ve enjoyed this installment and maybe found a new tune or two to get yourself moving.
